The farmers of Punjab have fully opened their fronts against the state government. Sugar Mill Chowk of Phagwara will also be converted into the Singhu border. 31 Punjab jathabandis are supporting the dharna being held in front of the sugar mill.

Many important decisions have been taken in the meeting of all the jathebandis held till late at night in Phagwara. In the meeting, it has been decided that a massive gathering of farmers will be held at Phagwara Mill Chowk on August 25. Farmers will come from all over Punjab. The Phagwara Sugar Mill, according to farmer leaders, would also become like the Singhu border. Till their demands are not met, there will be a firm front here.

Ruldu Singh Mansa, Manjit Singh Rai, Kuldeep Singh Wajidpur, Furman Singh Sandhu, Baljit Singh, Jangbir Singh, Mukesh Chandra Sharma, Buta Singh Burjgil, Satnam Singh Ajnala, Raminder Singh Patiala, Kulwant Singh, Amrik Singh, Budh Singh, etc. were among the leaders of various jathebandis who attended the meeting at Gurdwara Gyansar Sahib in Phagwara.

Apart from the Sugar Mill issue, a major decision has also been taken regarding the Lakhimpur Kheri tragedy. A voice shall be raised to demand justice for the farmers killed in Lakhimpur Kher. A group of 10,000 farmers from Punjab will go to Uttar Pradesh to begin the fight for justice in response to this.

Farmer leaders said that there is a demand from their government to pay the amount of Rs 72 crore which is stuck in Phagwara Sugar Mill. Additionally, they requested that the government take control of and run the factory. Farmer leaders said that they have spoken with the Chief Minister multiple times about this issue, but no solution has been found. No decision has been taken due to bureaucratic dominance in the government.
