Yeh sirf trailer hai [This is only a trailer]," read the letter which was found in the explosive gelatine sticks-laden SUV parked outside the multi-storey house of Mukesh Ambani's in Mumbai.
The letter was kept next to the driver’s seat in a ‘Mumbai Indian’ bag that was made public on Friday. Addressing the Ambani family, the threat warned of more real action next time. "To Nita bhabhi and Mukesh bhaiya, this is just a trailer. All preparations have been done...picture abhi baaki hai," the letter stated.
According to sources, the Scorpio had a fake number plate that matched with the registration numbers of Ambani's cavalcade. The accused might have called the police to inform them about the parked car close to Mukesh Ambani’s house, the police assume, saying that this act has been planned for about a month. Police believe that the accused wanted to park the explosive-filled vehicle closer to ‘Antilia’ but due to security reasons, left it a few hundred metres away. The accused were trying to track the movement of the Ambani family.
Explosive Gelatin Sticks brought from Nagpur
The vehicle’s chassis number and other details have revealed that it was stolen from outside Maharashtra and Gelatin sticks were brought from Nagpur based company.
CCTV recordings have been obtained from the area and the investigating team said that the driver got down from the car from the rear gate and the suspect was wearing a hoodie to hide his identity. Police sources have said five suspects have been rounded up for the investigation.
Meanwhile, Security has been enhanced outside Mukesh Ambani's residence 'Antilia'.
