Three people died at Lukla airport in Nepal on Thursday, when a plane suddenly changed its direction while taking off and hit two parked helicopters.
Also known as Tenzing-Hillary airport, it is considered to be the most dangerous airport of the world.
While taking off, the plane skidded off the runway and hit the parked helicopters at the the Lukla-based helipad, which is 30-50 metres from the runway.

Tribhuvan International Airport spokesperson, Pratap Babu Tiwari said, “Co-pilot S Dhungana and Assistant Sub-Inspector Ram Bahadur Khadka, who were stationed at the helipad, were killed in the incident.”
Assistant Sub-Inspector Rudra Bahadur Shrestha, was injured in the incident died while undergoing treatment at Grande Hospital. While the captains who were flying the plane are now out of danger.
