Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed people and empathized with them. Referring to the current Covid situation in the country, PM said that the country is facing an invisible and quick-changing enemy and he can feel the suffering of people who are hit by the pandemic.

In his address, he said that this quick-changing enemy was challenging the whole world. India is working in war-footing mode to fight the second wave of coronavirus. Prime Minister also expressed confidence in winning the battle against Covid-19.

“Because of this coronavirus, we have lost people close to us. The pain that citizens have suffered, that many experienced, I am feeling it equitably,” said Prime Minister Modi in his online address at farmer’s event. “As your Pradhan Sevak, I share your every sentiment,” he further added.

The coronavirus has reproduced multiple mutant strains. These mutant strains have pushed India to the edge of destruction in the battle. At the same time, the country is facing a shortage of vaccines, medical oxygen, and other facilities.

“After hundred years, such a terrible pandemic is testing the world at every step. We have an invisible enemy in front of us, which is in multi-form. We are overcoming obstacles in resources in the fight against coronavirus rapidly and efforts are being made to work on war-footing mode,” said PM Modi.

He further added that 18 crore doses of Covid19 vaccines have been given and the government is continuously working to ensure every person gets vaccine at a fast pace.

Prime Minister also urged the states to take action against black-marketing of medicines and other essential supplies. He also said that coronavirus is spreading rapidly in rural India, “I want to alert our people living in villages against the growing threat posed by Corona. Corona is spreading fast in our villages too. Gram Panchayats have an important role to play in sensitizing people in villages.”
