PM Modi on Monday in his Motion of Thanks on President's address tore apart the Congress party and slammed the Grand Old Party on a number of burning issues of India. PM Modi in his address slammed Congress for not changing its attitude despite losing numerous elections from the past many years. Furthermore, PM Modi slammed Congress for politicizing the COVID pandemic and creating a panic among the laborers and the working class. Notably, PM Modi also slammed Rahul Gandhi for comparing businessmen like Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani to COVID variants.
Without taking the name of Rahul Gandhi, PM Modi said, "What does their leader say that industrialists are a variant of Covid? What are you saying? At least tell him that you are damaging the Congress." Furthermore, PM Modi stated that in the past the Congress used to name other private entity Tata and used to say that they run the government. "Today only the punching bag has changed but not your attitude," said PM Modi.
PM Modi further slammed Congress for mocking the Make In India initiative. "We do not agree with the approach of scaring our youth, wealth creators, and entrepreneurs. One can have suggestions on 'Make in India' but which mindset can say it will fail? Those making fun of 'Make in India' have become a joke themselves. We do not believe only governments can solve all problems. We believe in the people of the nation, the youth of the nation. Take the start-up sector for example. The number of start-ups have risen and this shows the strength of our people. Before 2014, there were 500 startups in the country. Today, there are 7,000 startups," said PM Modi.
'AA variant is spreading across Indian economy': Rahul Gandhi
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his Motion of Thanks on President's address had slammed the government and also compared industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani to COVID variants. Rahul Gandhi compared them to variants in an attempt to take a dig at the government for letting them spread their wings in almost every sector that destroyed MSMEs and jobs.
"The 'AA' (Ambani Adani) variant is spreading across the Indian economy. I don't have a problem with big industries, focus on them but please realise that they cannot produce jobs for you. Small and medium industries are the only ones which can produce jobs in the country," Rahul Gandhi had said.
