Some political forces in Delhi want to teach me lessons in democracy, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi while hitting back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, after the latter, in his recent attack to the BJP government said, there was ‘no democracy in India’ and if anyone gather the courage to stand up against the PM and the government, they are then labeled as anti-nationals or terrorists, even if it’s RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Citing DDC (District Development Council) polls in Jammu and Kashmir as perfect example of democracy in, PM Modi said, those people who always taunt and insult me and now want to teach me lessons in democracy, should see the smooth conduct of DDC polls.
Further after launching the Ayushman Bharat Scheme for health insurance coverage to all residents of the union territory, PM Modi said, the recent local body election in Jammu and Kashmir "strengthened roots of democracy" and congratulated voters for exercising their franchise in the seven-phase election.
