In a late-night operation in Jalandhar’s Rama Mandi, Dakoha Police outpost stopped a limousine headed to a wedding and issued a fine for violating traffic laws. The luxury vehicle, decorated with flowers for the wedding, had heavily tinted windows, leading to immediate action by the police.
The limousine was reportedly on its way to Shri Gurudwara Sahib to pick up the groom when it was stopped at a checkpoint. Sub-Inspector Narinder Mohan, in charge of the Dakoha outpost, explained that the vehicle’s windows were illegally tinted, with black film applied on all windows, prompting the fine.
Details of the incident:
The incident occurred outside Kaki Pind Gurudwara Sahib, where a police checkpoint was set up under the supervision of Sub-Inspector Narinder Mohan. Upon spotting the limousine with tinted windows, the officers flagged it down and questioned the driver.
At the time of the incident, only the driver was inside the vehicle. When asked about the tinted windows, the driver failed to provide a clear explanation or valid documentation. Consequently, the police issued a fine and confiscated the necessary documents.
According to the police, the vehicle was en route to Jandu Singh. Sub-Inspector Mohan reiterated that the action was taken as the car did not comply with legal requirements and lacked proper authorization.
