Protesting farmers today are holding a tractor parade as a sign to intensify their protest against the three farm laws. The farmers have taken different routes that were not permitted to them while the parade has become violent. Farmers broke in barricades and got engaged in a clash with the police.
The Delhi police used tear gas shells to stop them from entering ITO and demanded the protesters to maintain peace. Many videos surfaced on the internet showing the fierce clash between protesters and the police at many places.
Meanwhile, Rakesh Tikait, leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union on being asked about the violence, has accused the government of the disturbance during the tractor parade. Tikait has blamed political parties for the disturbance and claimed that the farmers were holding peaceful demonstrations. He said they can identify those who have never been a part of the movement, alleging that there are people from some political party who are spoiling the movement.
“We know the people who are trying to create a disturbance, they are identified. There are people from political parties who are trying to malign the agitation,” said Rakesh Tikait.
Tikait has appealed the farmers to return back peacefully.
