The Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 was announced on Tuesday with BJP-led NDA bagging 294 seats out of 543 crossing the magical figure of 272 needed to form the government. On the other, the Congress-led INDIA alliance also performed relatively well winning 234 seats, 38 less than the majority mark. The Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 is a disaster for the BJP as the saffron could not reach the majority mark, leaving alone the 'Abki Baar 400 Paar' clarion call of PM Modi. As a result, the BJP called an urgent meeting of the NDA alliance in New Delhi on Wednesday, while the Congress called the INDIA bloc's meeting in the National Capital. There are murmurs that the opposition alliance is trying to woo Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and other winning independent candidates so that it can stop Narendra Modi from returning to power. To woo the Bihar CM, INDIA bloc has reportedly offered the Deputy PM post to him.
Meanwhile, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has boarded the flight to Delhi to attend the NDA meeting. Interestingly, the Bihar CM has boarded the same flight in which RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is traveling. A video is going viral on social media in which Tejashwi and Nitish can be seen sitting near each other in the flight. When asked about his reaction to the poll result, Nitish Kumar said, "Aap Sabko Naman." On the other hand, Tejashwi looked calm and said, "I will say nothing and everything will be revealed in due course of time."
PM Modi mentions Nitish Kumar in his victory speech
PM Modi's victory speech raised many eyebrows when he specially mentioned and gave a big shoutout to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and TDP's Chandrababu Naidu. Addressing at party headquarters, PM Modi said, "Under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar, NDA has performed extremely well in Andhra Pradesh and Bihar"
Slamming the opposition, PM Modi said, "INDIA bloc did not win as many seats as the BJP alone did. This is the first time the BJP will have a Chief Minister on the land of Lord Jagannath (Odisha). BJP won a seat in Kerala too. Our Kerala workers have made a lot of sacrifices but kept serving the public. The moment they waited for generations is here. In Telangana, our numbers have doubled. In Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Himachal, and many other states, our party almost made a clean sweep."
