Voting for the third and largest phase of Lok Sabha elections began on Tuesday for 116 seats, including all constituencies of Kerala and Gujarat. The third phase of the Lok Sabha elections will decide the fate of eminent leaders like BJP President Amit Shah, Congress President Rahul Gandhi and several Union Ministers among famous candidates in the battle.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections BJP and its allies bagged 66 seats out of these 116 spread across 14 States and Union Territories, while the Congress and its coalition partners won 27, and the rest went to other opposition parties and Independents.
Apart from Kerala (20) and Gujarat (26), polls will be taking place in Assam (4), Bihar (5), Chhattisgarh (7), Karnataka (14) and Maharashtra (14), Odisa (6), Uttar Pradesh (10), West-Bengal (5), Goa (2) and one each in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu and Tripura
