Model-actress Poonam Pandey’s husband Sam Bombay was arrested by Mumbai police after the actress accused him of physical assault. She has suffered serious injuries to her face, eyes and head. As per police, the actress was admitted after lodging the complaint.
"The case has been registered against Sam Bombay under the sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC). The actress has suffered serious injuries on her head, eyes and face," said the Mumbai police, according to ANI.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
This wouldn’t be the first time that the actress has reported an assault complaint against her husband. Earlier, Sam was arrested just days after their wedding last year in Goa. The couple were honeymooning in Goa and Poonam had lodged a complaint of domestic violence against her husband saying he had molested her and threatened her with dire consequences. However, later Poonam had taken back her complaint after which Sam was granted bail and the actress said, “which marriage does not have its ups and downs.”
Sam Bombay was then booked under Sections 353 (causing hurt), 353 (insult) 506 (criminal intimidation) and 354 (outraging modesty) of the Indian Penal Code.
Poonam and Bombay got married at their home in Bandra on September 1 after staying together in a live-in relationship for two years. Sharing their wedding picture, Pandey on Instagram wrote, “Here’s looking forward to seven lifetimes with you.”

In an interview with Spotboye, Poonam had said that she would take back the case against Sam, adding, "I got beaten up very badly this time, it was a half murder. I don’t know how many days I was in the hospital.”
Because he is just crying in front of me and I really don’t know what to do? Every time he just beat me up and later starts crying saying sorry. This time also he did the same and promised it will not happen again and I will treat you well. But this is something he keeps doing always. Because of him, I got a brain haemorrhage,” added the actress.
