In the meantime, former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, Shesh Paul Vaid took to his official X handle and shared his video saying that he is not surprised by the 'ambush-type attack' that took place in Poonch. Shesh Paul Vaid said, "Information has arrived that an attack has taken place in Poonch, a district of Jammu region. Five Indian Air Force personnel have been injured in the attack. But, it is not surprising because a tempo of election was made in the area. Pakistan's establishment can never accept this that people of Jammu and Kashmir exercise their democratic right to vote."
"Pakistan denies democracy to its people Therefore, special attention needs to be given in this region," added the former DGP. Former DGP Shesh Paul shared the video with the caption, "It is time for parliamentary election in Poonch, Rajouri and Anantnag constituency. Not surprised by today's terrorists ambush type attack on the Indian Air Force vehicle in Poonch of Jammu & Kashmir. "
