The entire Christian community went into mourning on Monday after Pope Francis's death was confirmed. Pope Francis, who was 88 years old, died on Monday after fighting for his life in a "complex" health battle. As per global media reports, Pope Francis was hospitalised for weeks at the Gemelli hospital in Rome. Cardinal Kevin Ferrell, the Vatican camerlengo, issued a statement in which he said, "At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the home of the Father. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of his Church."
