With six more people testing positive for coronavirus on Tuesday, the total number of cases in Punjab has gone up to 29, including a death.
2 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the State
1 case is from Hoshiarpur. He came in contact of a positive case.
1 case is from Ludhiana. The patient doesn’t have a travel history and the source of infection is being identified.
All 30 cases have been placed under isolation in Govt hospital and are stable. Close contacts of all these cases have been put under quarantine and surveillance. Samples of close contacts and high-risk cases are being collected and sent to designated labs for testing.

On the other hand, the positive toll of coronavirus across India has reached to 606 (including 553 active cases, 42 cured/discharged people and 10 deaths). Madhya Pradesh recorded its first death, India's total death count reached 12.
