In a recent podcast, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra opened up about the challenges she faced while freezing her eggs at the age of 30. Chopra, who became a mother in 2022 through surrogacy, said that the process of freezing eggs was not easy and that she had to take injections for months during the shoot.
Chopra's mother, who is a gynecologist, advised her to freeze her eggs at an early age, believing that women face a lot of difficulties in becoming a mother after the age of 35. Chopra said that the hormonal changes caused by the injections made her complain of bloating all the time.
Priyanka, who is a UNICEF ambassador, said that she always wanted children and had a deep affection for them. She got her eggs frozen because she felt she had a lot to achieve in her career and wanted to have the freedom to pursue her dreams. Chopra advised working women to consider this method and save money to freeze their eggs, saying that frozen eggs always have the same shelf life.

Egg freezing is a common method in which healthy eggs are removed from a woman's uterus and stored under medical supervision. Later, the eggs are fertilized and transferred to the woman's uterus to form an embryo whenever she wants to become pregnant.
Priyanka Chopra is not the only Bollywood actress who has frozen her eggs. TV actress Mona Singh, former Miss World Diana Hayden, Rakhi Sawant, and Kajol's sister Tanisha Mukherjee have also frozen their eggs. Diana Hayden gave birth to a child through frozen egg in 2016, and Rakhi Sawant had told during Bigg Boss 14 that she had frozen her eggs to become a mother in the future.
