An initial probe into the toolkit shared by teen climate activist Greta Thunberg suggests that the document has a link with a Canda based pro-Khalistani group. A government source said the kit, aimed at damaging India’s interests, was created by ‘Peace for Justice’, a body co-founded by a self-declared Khalistan supporter Mo Dhaliwal, who is based in Vancouver, Canada.
The probe has found a Powerpoint presentation with details of tasks aiming to harm India. Some of the things mentioned in the toolkit were "disrupt 'yoga and chai' image of India in general", "unified global disruption in the diaspora on January 26”, and "repeal of farm laws".
Thunberg had after deleted the toolkit but before that many Indian’s were able to take a screenshot of the post which went on to become a hot topic for discussion.
The teen activist, lending her support to the protesting farmers, had shared "a toolkit for those who want to help".
Thunberg tweeted, "Here's a toolkit if you want to help.” The toolkit takes the user to a document containing details on ways to support the protest.
The document has lists of several immediate actions needed to be taken to support the farmers in their protest such as creating a Twitter storm and protesting outside Indian embassies.
"The documents shared mistakenly by Greta shows how tweets by Rihanna and others weren't organic and were part of a larger campaign to malign India. This makes it important to see all such statements/tweets by important people in India and abroad in the context of the planned and pre-scripted campaign," said a senior government source.
The Delhi police on Thursday launched an investigation into knowing the origin of the toolkit, which the Union minister said has revealed an international conspiracy designed against India. He said the toolkit shows clear instructions on how, when and what to do.
"The toolkit tweeted by Thunberg in support of farmers' protest was, in fact, a schoolkit of anarchy. They (foreign personalities) have nothing to do with these laws, they just want to create a situation of anarchy and trouble in the country," BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said.
“Will you be a part of the largest protest in human history”? Was the headline of the toolkit, while it has hashtags like #AskIndiaWhy' and 'Global Farmers Strike - first wave. The strap on the page reads, "To stand up against India's failing democracy (at the of the fascist ruling party, RSS-BJP)" and "To stand up against unregulated corporatisation of the farming sector.”
The toolkit also had plans to carry the “malign India campaign”, even if the laws were repealed. This displays how damaging the entire campaign is, said an official.
The documents uploaded on social media have a proper action plan about a digital strike on or before January 26 and tweetstorms on January 23. The messages have to be evergreen and repeated by public and mainstream media.
