In what is termed a disgusting way of protest, four men on Tuesday trespassed UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's home in Kirkby Sigston, North Yorkshire, and defecated in the water body. The protestors defecated in the water body saying it was a parting gift for UK PM Rishi Sunak. Notably, the UK will undergo elections in July and the position of PM is up for grabs. The four protestors who reportedly belonged to a student group were arrested within minutes of their trespassing.
As per Sun, the incident happened at around 12.40 pm (local time), when the men were escorted off the property and arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass. Protest group Youth Demand claimed responsibility for the incident, uploading video footage to their social media handles including Instagram.
Rishi Sunak's home trespassing video showcases a student named Oliver Clegg, 21, climbing into a lake and appearing to defecate in the water while wearing an "Eat s*** Rishi" shirt.
On being asked about the reason for their gross protest, Clegg was heard making multiple political comments including NHS waiting times and the war in Gaza. The Youth Demand ground stated that the action was a 'parting gift' for the UK Prime Minister and the Conservative Government.
Youth Demand describes itself as a campaign calling for an arms embargo on Israel, as well as for the Government to revoke all new oil and gas licences granted since 2021.
Sharing the video, Youth Demand on its Instagram wrote, "BREAKING: Youth Demand Take a Dump in @RishiSunakMP 's Lake..As a thank you and a parting gift to Rishi Sunak and the Tories for the last 14 years of service, we have given the Tories exactly what they have given us. A shitshow. The political system in this country is a shitshow. Crumbling schools, collapsing NHS, 4.3 million children in poverty, more foodbanks than McDonalds, water companies pumping shit in our rivers, selling weapons to a country committing genocide with over 35000 civilians murdered in Gaza, and licensing new oil and gas whilst entire continents burn! - That’s not even the tip of the iceberg!"
What did the UK Police say?
UK Police in its statement were quoted saying, "We have arrested four people in the grounds of the Prime Minister’s constituency home this afternoon. Our officers were with the four men within one minute of them entering the grounds. They were detained at around 12.40pm before being escorted off the property and arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass. The men aged 52 from London, 43 from Bolton, 21 from Manchester, and 20 from Chichester, remain in police custody for questioning and enquiries are ongoing."
