Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh will fulfil his promise by making tasty delicacies, and another cuisine for Olympic Gold medal winner Neeraj Chopra and other Olympians for a dinner meeting on Wednesday.
“From Patiala cuisine to pulao, lamb, chicken, aloo & Zarda rice, CM @Capt_Amarinder will prepare each of these delicacies himself to keep his promise to Punjab Olympic medal winners (& Neeraj Chopra) at the dinner he’s hosting for them tomorrow,” said Chief Minister Amarinder Singh’s media adviser Raveen Thukral in his tweet.
The CM in a ceremony in August had extended an invitation to the Olympic champions for a dinner.
He had also promised that the food in the meeting will be cooked by him.
“Happy to meet our Olympic superstars during the felicitation ceremony this evening. Have promised them that I will cook for them and will host them for dinner soon. India is proud of all of them,” the CM had tweeted on August 12.
He also announced that the hockey players from Punjab who won the bronze in men’s hockey will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 2.51 crore each.
