'Total Dhamal' not to release in Pakistan, says Ajay and team

In the wake of Pulwama terror attack, the makers of Total Dhamaal have decided not to release their film in Pakistan. Ajay Devgan tweeted, "In light of the current situation the team of Total Dhamaal has decided to not release the film in Pakistan" he also added "Horrible and disgusting. Anger can't be put into words. #KashmirTerrorAttack"

According to the reports, Rs 50 lakh has been donated by the team to the grieving families of the martyrs. The film, which is scheduled to release on February 22 has been co-produced by Ajay Devgan. 

Earlier, Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar had also cancelled their tour to Pakistan, the couple was invited by the Arts Council in Karachi for a programme on poet Kaifi Azmi, Shabana Azmi father. Pakistan's literary and arts community expressed disappointment over the decision.

Reacting to this, the Arts Council president said, "I don't criticise her but we deeply feel saddened the way she had expressed disappointment after the Pulwama attack. We firmly believe that artists and people who are regarded for their literary and artistic contribution are the ones who give hope to people. They never disappoint them. But this time, Shabana Azmi sounds extremely disappointed."

To express grief, several eminent personalities and Bollywood celebrities took to the social media and stand in support of bereaved families.
