In another major hit and run incident involving a minor, a speeding Creta car allegedly being driven by a minor hit 4 people near the posh Jalandhar Heights on 66 Foot road in Jalandhar, Punjab. All four were rushed to the hospital following the incident where one succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased, 40-year-old Mala, resident of Jalandhar, was returning home from his work on his bicycle when he was struck by the speeding Creta car. As per reports, the Creta car was being driven by minors.
Eyewitnesses say that the car also hit an Activa with two occupants. The Activa was rammed from the back so violently that the riders flipped over the car and landed on the road behind it. Both were critically injured and were rushed to the hospital along with Mala by onlookers. Witnesses say that fortunately there was no crowd at the roadside where Creta lost control, otherwise it would have been a tragic accident.
As per reports, the police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident. The minor drivers fled the scene before the police’s arrival. They have seized the Creta car from the scene and have initiated an investigation.
This comes just days after another incident caught the headlines where a speeding Porsche allegedly driven by a minor lost control and took the lives of 2 people in Pune, Mumbai. The minor turned out to be the son of a prolific builder, Vishal Agarwal.
