"While entire Nation is supporting the farmers
protesting against the draconian agriculture laws passed in undemocratic manner
by the Modi Government, the BJP's Punjab unit is still supporting anti-farmer
laws which will not be tolerated by the people of Punjab", said AAP
legislator Aman Arora in a statement issued from Party headquarter here in
Chandigarh.
Aman Arora said that instead of blindly following the dictates of their party high command, the workers and leaders of BJP Punjab unit must support their farming brethren who have been religiously protesting in biting cold against the anti-farm laws enacted by Modi Government to extend favour to its favourite corporate houses.
Aman Arora said that the Badal family which advocated the bills in the Parliament as well as through the media few months ago has suddenly started condemning these laws and have even parted ways with its alliance partner BJP. The decision is not due to their sympathy towards the farming community but is an outcome of wrath against the Badal family among the entire Punjabis.
While commending the stand taken by the farmers of Punjab against the anti-farming laws, AAP District Presidents said that Amarinder Singh government was also hand-in-glove with the Modi government as is now trying the befool the people by issuing vague statements. Anti-farmer face of Amarinder Singh government already stands exposed as it did not utter a word against these ordinances during the meetings called by Modi government before introducing them in the Parliament.
Urging the leaders and workers of all the parties including BJP's Punjab unit to stand united with the farmers, AAP District Presidents said that the current situation need apolitical approach with a sole motive of standing with the farming community in their fight against the repressive farm laws.
