Hailstorm will damage crops
Farmers in Punjab, in particular Amritsar and Patiala, have soon their concern about the weather. In a recent hailstorm crops are already damaged. Moreover, they fear that another round of bad weather, hail along with strong winds, could make things even worse. If that happens, they could suffer huge financial losses.
Many farmers say that if the rough weather continues, their crop yield will drop, affecting their earnings and daily lives. Crops like wheat and mustard, which are in a major growth stage, are the most at risk. If these crops are hit again, farmers might struggle to recover from the losses.
The government and agricultural department are keeping a close watch on the situation. They are advising farmers on how to protect their crops and reduce damage. Officials have also asked people to stay informed by following weather updates.
For now, farmers are hoping the weather improves, but they are also preparing for the worst. Some have started covering their crops with protective sheets, while others are looking at alternative ways to minimize losses. Meanwhile, authorities are considering possible relief measures if the damage turns severe.
The situation remains uncertain, but for Punjab’s farmers, the coming days are crucial. A single storm could make a huge difference in their harvest and earnings for the season.
