Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann chaired a special meeting with the Punjab Forest Department officials in order to discuss environment preservation and planting more trees in the state. There were discussions about maximising the forest area in Punjab and to intensify the green movement in the state.
In the meeting, it was discussed that each of the farmers should plant at 4 trees on their tubewells so that the green wave can be spread further in the state.
“I hope that the farmers will participate more in this noble work. It is my humble appeal to the ‘Kisan Veer’”, said the Chief Minister after the meeting with the Forest Department.
