A day after Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)
Harjinder Singh, Central Jail, Ludhiana had sent a video message to Punjab CM
Capt Amarinder Singh seeking help for his treatment, the state govt has assured
to bear the expense of his treatment.
DSP Harjinder Singh, who had tested Covid positive on April 6 was admitted to SPS Hospital Ludhiana for treatment. Although he defeated the contagious infection, it had an adverse effect on his lungs.
As the team of doctors had asked him to undergo lungs transplant in Chennai based private hospital, DSP wrote a letter to CM pleading for financial assistance.
Taking cognizance of the matter, the Punjab CM has asked Dr. KK Talwar to consult with his fellow doctors at SPS Apollo Hospital, Ludhiana and KIMS Secunderabad, Telangana for DSP’s treatment.
The government has also assured that it will bear all expenses for treatment of Punjab Police DSP Harjinder Singh, who is battling multiple organs issues after defeating Covid-19.
