In a sad day for Punjab, Ludhiana ACP Anil Kohli lost his life due to coronavirus. Anil was set to undergo plasma therapy on Saturday.Kohli was tested positive and was on ventilators from the past few days in SPS Hospital Ludhiana.
On Friday the family of the Punjab Police ACP had given the permission for the therapy, for which the DHS Punjab was coordinating potential plasma donors. Anil's wife, a Sub-Inspector/ SHO and a constable, belonging to Ferozpore district, who is his driver was also tested positive and were in quarantine.
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh took to twitter and wrote, "Sad to share that we had lost Gurmail Singh Kanungo yesterday & ACP Anil Kohli in Ludhiana to #Covid19 today. In this moment of crisis, losing our Corona Warriors is a big loss for the State. I join their families in this time of grief. Rest assured Punjab will stand by them."

Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta also gave his condolences and wrote, "Our brother officer Anil Kohli, ACP Ludhiana, lost his battle against #COVID-19 today afternoon. Anil served Punjab Police and the people of Punjab for over 30 years.
May his soul RIP!
