Punjab Congress Chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring on Sunday escaped a bull attack during his Jalandhar visit. Raja Warring was on Jalandhar visit for Jalandhar West Bye Polls campaign. During his visit, Warring was addressing the media when suddenly a bull came running from behind. However, people standing there saw the bull coming and hence everyone moved aside from the spot including Punjab Congress Chief Raja Warring. The situation could have been worse if people would not have moved aside.
Raja Warring had come with his wife Amrita Warring to campaign for the bye-election in Jalandhar West Assembly constituency. During this time this accident happened. During the campaign, Raja said that BJP and AAP leaders are two sides of the same coin. Addressing the media, Raja Warring reportedly said that Congress party will win the Jalandhar West bye-election, because the people of Jalandhar West are upset with the turncoats. Candidates of other parties are contesting elections after leaving different parties. On the other hand, Shiromani Akali Dal is not even in this race, so it is useless to talk about them.
In the meantime, in a big jolt to the BJP ahead of Jalandhar West Bye Election 2024, former Deputy Mayor Kamaljit Singh Bhatia on Monday joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Kamaljit Singh Bhatia reached the house of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann in Jalandhar. This is a big setback for the BJP before the elections, because Bhatia was considered very close to Sheetal Angural and former MP Sushil Kumar Rinku. Notably, a large vote bank in the West constituency was reportedly with Bhatia. In such a situation, his joining AAP ten days before the elections can harm the BJP.
