A day after former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi junked the
reports of his scheduled meeting with Navjot Sidhu, they both held the meeting
in New Delhi today.
Cricketer-turned-politician who is engulfed in a longstanding feud with the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh wanted to meet Rahul to press for his demands. For the meeting, Sidhu went to Rahul’s residence in Delhi after meeting Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
The meeting between Priyanka and Sidhu lasted for over 3 hours in which issues related to Punjab Congress were discussed extensively.
Notably, Navjot Sidhu’s secret meeting with Priyanka has triggered a lot of speculations and it also signifies there are differences in the Gandhi family as on one side Rahul voiced for ‘no meeting’ and on the other hand, Priyanka met him.

Sidhu, who has always received the backing of Gandhi brother-sister in the party affairs wants the ongoing feud to conclude ahead of state Assembly Elections 2022.
Pertinently, the 57-year-old has already cleared that he does not want the party to treat him as a showpiece during the election campaign. Moreover, the Congress High Command has announced that the upcoming elections will be contested under the leadership of Capt Amarinder Singh but, Sidhu remains disgruntled.
Now, it will be evident to witness how Navjot Sidhu has moulded both Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi after airing his lost list of grievances against Punjab CM, what decision will be taken by Gandhi brother-sister for a breakthrough amid much-intensified conflict.
