Punjab Congress Crisis that has made even High Command scratching their heads to resolve the longstanding feud between Navjot Sidhu and Capt Amarinder Singh is most likely to end by tomorrow.
According to the sources, to accommodate cricketer-turned-politician in the state unit Congress High Command has decided to announce him as Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Chief.
As of now, no official announcement has been made for the same, however; Sidhu’s close aides have started sending him congratulatory messages through social media platforms. Moreover, Sidhu’s camp has asked its supporters to kick start the preparations for the celebration.
It is to be reiterated here, the decision to name Sidhu
as PPCC President has been taken in the high-powered organizational meeting
convened by Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday in New Delhi.

As per the media reports, before making it official, the
High Command wanted to assess the state unit leaders’ response on the same. Furthermore,
inducting Sidhu as the state unit president will not pave the way for Punjab
Congress to win elections in the upcoming Assembly Elections 2022 thus, have
decided to name two more leaders for the same position.
Viewing the Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh’s formula to make each sect gratified, the High Command has decided to announce two more names-one from the Hindu community and the other from the Dalit community- as the significant leaders of the organizational structure.
Among the Hindu leaders, the name of now state Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla and Manish Tewari has been put forward while the names of Amritsar MLA Raj Kumar Verka and a senior Congress leader Chaudhary Santokh Singh is also being deliberated on.
Pertinently, earlier Capt Amarinder Singh has been in denial to work as Punjab CM if Sidhu gets accommodated as the state unit President.
