Punjab Cricket Association's Rakesh Rathore announces PCA elections to be held soon

Rakesh Rathore PCA election: After the resignation of Punjab Cricket Association President Rajinder Gupta from his post, Rakesh Rathore, presiding over the PCA Apex Council, announced that the PCA elections would be held soon.

Punjab Cricket Association executive president Rakesh Rathore said that a new three-member committee has been formed.  

Which Rakesh Walia, Kartikeya Mehta and Varindra Billing have been included. This committee will work for the Punjab Cricket Association till the next elections. 

He hoped that the new PCA committee would make good use of the talents of all the members during the forthcoming session. All the district associations will give their active support in cricket upliftment works while maintaining mutual harmony.

Shri Rathore said that the cases pending in various courts which are becoming an obstacle to the betterment of cricket in Punjab will be withdrawn. Special steps will be taken to investigate corruption cases so that fraud in the name of cricket can be curbed.


The meeting also discussed the work done by the outgoing chairman Rajinder Gupta. The work which has remained half unfinished will be completed soon. 

During this time cricket upliftment works were done by Shri Inderjit Singh Bindra (Former President BCCI), Mahendra Pratap Pandav, DP Reddy, Viswajit Khanna, Mehta, GS Walia, Ram Prakash Singla, Deepak Sharma, Puneet Bali and other members. He appealed to give them special respect.

Rathore said that he aims to accelerate cricket upliftment and provide proper facilities to emerging cricketers. Upcoming newly elected committee members will make meaningful efforts in this direction.
