Punjab Exit Polls : What does AAP's win mean in National Politics

With exit polls showing AAP sweeping polls in Punjab, AAP is confident in forming the government for the very first time outside Delhi in Punjab. The AAP is clearly showing the signs of taking on the biggest political parties.

AAP, BJP, PM Modi, Punjab, Exit Polls, Kejriwal,- True Scoop
With the counting of the votes going to take place on the March in 5 poll led states, the Aam Aadmi Party for the very first time looks to burst on the national scene by taking over the Punjab state.

With all exit polls AAP getting a clear majority , one might speculate where does the party look to stop now. AAP is contesting elections in 4 states, but it has all stakes high in Punjab, alongside Uttarakhand and Goa. The party is contesting in Uttar Pradesh, but as a player who can be taken that seriously.

Is AAP going to be an alternative for Congress?

One can understand that it’s too early to speculate this, but one never knows what can happen in politics. AAP has a history of taking out on big fishes, they defeated Congress in Delhi state elections when Congress was holding the fort in the centre. The question is even if AAP takes over Congress as an alternative, is it in a position to take on Modi led BJP ?

The answer to this question may vary, it all depends on the when. It's visible that AAP may not be able to take on BJP in 2024 with it’s rare presence in some states. While on the other hand, if AAP can form and be part of third front in an umbrella coalition of parties other than BJP and Congress it can surely test it’s luck.

However it can’t be ruled out that AAP is not going to take on Modi led BJP in future. AAP is trying very hard to expand its party and getting public support over the work and schemes they have done in Delhi.
