In a major development in Punjab, the state government has placed several officers at the disposal of the Department of Surveillance on administrative grounds. This decision has been made as per the recommendation of the committee constituted under section 24 of the Punjab State Vigilance Commission Act 2020. The order was issued by the Department of Home Affairs and Justice on behalf of the Governor of Punjab.
The officers who have been placed at the disposal of the Department of Surveillance are as follows: Big Vijay, Couple PPS, Shivchand PPS, Rajan Sharma IPS, Surendra Singh IPS, Prabhjot Kaur PPS, Ganesh Kumar TPS, Sarabjit Singh Brar PPS, Balkar Singh PPS, Navdeep Singh DPS, Sukhdev Singh DPS, and Amrit Pal Singh PPS. These officers have been directed to report to the Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau immediately.
Meanwhile, the officers who are presently posted in the Vigilance Bureau and have attracted attention are required to report to the Director General of Police, Punjab. Their posting orders will be issued separately. The officers who are required to report to the DGP include Gagan Ajit Singh, Vikas Agrawal, Gurinderjit Singh, Hansraj, Ajay Kumar, and Achhruram.
