The Punjab state government has finally nodded to open cinema halls, multiplexes, and parks as a step to ease the lockdown. The Punjab government in lockdown 5 did not allow the cinema halls and parks to function.
The state government also extended the lockdown for containment zones till 30th November.
Here are the fresh guidelines which have been introduced by the Punjab State Government:
1) Cinema/ theaters/ multiplexes with up to 50% of their seating capacity in areas outside containment zones are per SOP issued by the Ministry of information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
2)Entertainment parks and similar places in areas outside containment zones are per SOP issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Earlier the Punjab State government allowed schools to reopen. The government had also allowed Ramlila events in the state with certain conditions pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic.
