Buses, auto-rickshaws and tempos will not be allowed to run in the state from Friday. However, the orders will come into effect sharp at midnight.
The decision was made after a group of ministers on Thursday held a meeting to review the state's preparedness amid the paandemic. It has also decided to limit the public gathering to 20 people.

So far, Punjab has reported two coronavrius cases. One person, who had a travel history to Germany and Italy, died of infection on Wednesday. On the other hand, the state's capital Chandigarh also reported its first.
