The Government of Punjab in a major rejig transferred 3 IAS officers of the state. According to an official order issued by the Governor of Punjab, the reshuffle involves senior officials handling key departments in the state. The IAS officers who have transferred are- D.K. Tiwari, Kamal Kishor Yadav, and Varun Roojam.
D.K. Tiwari who is a 1994-batch IAS officer has been transferred to Additional Chief Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs. He will replace IAS officer Dilraj Singh. D.K. Tiwari was previously posting as Additional Chief Secretary, Transport.
2003 batch IAS officer Kamal Kishor Yadav has been posted to Administrative Secretary, Industries & Commerce. Additionally appointed as Administrative Secretary, Investment Promotion, and Promotion of Information Technology Industry. He will replace Tejveer Singh, IAS (additional charge).
2004-batch IAS officer Varun Roojam has been posted as Administrative Secretary, Transport. He will continue as Excise and Taxation Commissioner. Varun Roojam has replaced D.K. Tiwari as Administrative Secretary.
It is pertinent to mention here that the official notification also clarifies that 2005-batch IAS officer Dilraj Singh will continue serving as Secretary, Health & Family Welfare and will also retain his roles as Commissioner, Food & Drug Administration, and Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections, Punjab.
