Aam Aadmi Party won the 2022 Punjab Elections with a landslide margin and Bhagwant Mann was chosen as the Chief Minister of the state. Ever since then Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has been fulling the pre-poll promises that were made by AAP from the people of Punjab. From free electricity to reforming the education and health sector, Bhagwat Mann has pushed multiple initiatives in the state to improve these sectors. Talking about the health sector, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann's Mohalla Clinics is turning out to be a groundbreaking decision that is impacting and improving the healthcare of the common people.

Under the Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinic's initiative, multiple Mohalla clinics have been set up across the state, providing basic medical services to local residents near their homes. This step is proving to be beneficial, especially for the economically weaker sections.

Talking about Punjab Mohalla Clinics facilities, it provides free treatment, medical tests, and medicines. In these clinics, a team of experienced doctors, nurses, and other medical staff diagnose and treat patients for their problems. The initiative aims to reduce congestion in big hospitals and make access to healthcare easier.

Dr. Shinam Sood of Malowal Mohalla Clinic was quoted saying that there are four major posts in their clinic - doctor, pharmacist, clinic assistant and rank four staff. He said that people have benefited a lot from the Mohalla clinics opened in the villages. Thanking the Punjab government, he said that this initiative has not only increased the reach of health services but also provided employment to the younger generation.

One of the locals at Mohalla Clinics outlined that people do not need to go to the city for medicine. Earlier it was a difficult task for the elderly to go to the city, but now all the necessary medical facilities are available in the village itself.

What future holds for Mohalla Clinics?

The Punjab government plans to expand this initiative further in the next few years and set up more Mohalla clinics in every city and village. This scheme will not only increase the reach of health services but will also make it easier to solve the health problems of the people.
