Punjab Mukhyamantri Trith Yatra: From giving government jobs to youths in order to start reverse migration, to improving Punjab's health and education infrastructure under the School of Eminence and Mohalla Clinics, Chief Minister Bhagwat Mann has left no stones unturned to better the lives of the people of Punjab. Punjab being a bordering state poses lots of challenges for a Chief Minister to rule. Amid the plethora of issues, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann did not forget to work for senior citizens of the state. While Saade Buzurg Saada Maan ensures the welfare of senior citizens, the Mukhyamantri Trith Yatra scheme launched by Punjab CM Mann has fulfilled senior citizens' dream to go on pilgrim.
The Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab launched the ‘Mukh Mantri Teerth Yatra’ aka Mukhyamantri Trith Yatra scheme on November 27, 2023. The scheme was launched by Punjab CM for the people visit holy places across the country. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched the scheme in Punjab’s Dhuri.
What are the benefits of the Punjab Mukhyamantri Trith Yatra scheme?
As per the government's official website, under the Punjab Mukhyamantri Trith Yatra scheme- Free of Cost Pilgrimage Site Visit, All Pilgrimage Site Visit Expenses will be borne by Punjab Government and A Kit which contains Bedsheet, Blanket, Towel, Oil, and Comb will also be provided. First Phase of Mukhyamantri Nishulk Teerth Yatra Yojana was started from 27 November 2023 and ended on 29 February 2024. In the first phase, over 50 thousands devotees had the opportunity to visit their choosen pilgrimage site without any fees.

Eligibility and how to apply Punjab Mukhymantri Teerth Yojna online
The official website suggests that under the scheme, devotees age above 60 years and are medically fit are eligible to take the benefits of the scheme. Individuals who are above 75 years of age have the option to bring a caretaker along with them. Eligible beneficiaries can apply for the Punjab Mukhymantri Teerth Yojna online through the official Connect Punjab website.
