New Year celebrations are all set to start, so to maintain law and order in the coming days Punjab Police have issued various guidelines and advisories regarding the traffic arrangement and punishments if caught breaking the rules during New year celebrations.
Security has also been beefed up in all major cities of Punjab. The SSPs and CPs of all districts have strengthened security. Complete arrangements have been made regarding the movement of the blockade, checking, patrolling and PCR from the outer border to the inner areas. Punjab DGP have announced that patrolling will take place during New Year’s Eve and if anyone is caught violating the rules, strict legal action to be taken against them.
As per the latest guidelines issued by Punjab Police, people going out to parties have been strictly advised not to drink alcohol in public. Strict warnings have been issued against drinking and driving cases. Along with this, the police have also requested people not to carry any kind of weapon at the parties and create a ruckus. An Advisory has been issued for people not to fall into trap of any online New Year officers and if any emergency is there, people are advised to call on 112/181. Driving by minors has also been strictly prohibited otherwise strict action will be taken against the people caught.
To ensure peace Punjab Police is checking all the vehicles moving in the border areas.
