Punjab Police Recruitment Board has released the applications for the post of Sub-Inspector in Punjab Police. The Punjab Police would recruit candidates for a total of 560 posts.
The candidates would be selected on the basis of Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Screening Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Document Verification (DV). The application for the exam was released on July 5, 2021.
The Punjab Police took their official Twitter account to share information like eligibility criteria, syllabus etc. Punjab Police has also provided a QR code, through which candidates can download PDF documents, containing the syllabus and other details.
There would two papers of 400 marks and the duration of the exam would be 120 minutes for each paper.
These 560 posts would be divided into 4 cadres: Investigation (289), Armed (97), District (87) and Intelligence (87).

The written test would be conducted before the Physical Screening Test.
The computer-based test would consist of two papers and each would comprise 100 multiple-choice questions.
Negative marking of each wrong answer would be deducted, and it shall be to the extent of 25% of the marks assigned to the question.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Age: The age of the candidate must between 18 years and 28 years. Candidates from SC/ST/BC caste shall be given relaxation in the upper age limit by five years.
Educational Qualification: The candidate should be a graduate of a recognized university.
Syllabus: Paper 1 would be divided into three parts: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and Numerical Skills, Punjabi and Paper 2 would be divided into three parts: Logical and Analytic Reasoning Data Interpretation, Digital Literacy and Awareness, and English.
Physical Screening Test: Minimum height: 5 feet 7 inches (Males), 5 feet 2 inches (Female).
Race: 1600 meters in 7 minutes (Males), 800 meters in 5 minutes (Female).
Long Jump: 3.65 metres (Males), 3.00 metres (Female)
High Jump: 1.10 metres (Males), 0.90 metres (Female)
