Amidst the scorching heat in Punjab, some relief is expected in the upcoming days. According to the India Meteorological Department, Western Disturbance has become active in the state, due to which it may rain on June 1 and 2. According to the department, the temperature is also expected to drop by 1 to 4 degrees in the coming 2-3 days.
On the other hand, a person died in a field near village Chugdhe Kalan on Bathinda-Gidderbaha road. As per reports, the death was caused due to extreme heat. On receiving the information, Sahara Jan Seva's Life Saving Brigade Helpline Team’s Sandeep Gill and Police of Sadar station reached the spot. The body was taken to AIIMS Hospital for post-mortem by the Sahara team. The deceased was identified as Balraj Singh (40) son of Jasbir Singh, resident of Sardargarh.
