Punjab to hire 322 IT cadre officials

The Punjab Government would conduct a test for 322 IT Cadre posts including Senior System Manager (SSM), System Manager (SM), Assistant Manager (AM) and Technical Assistant (TA) on December 27, 2020 (Sunday) in Mohali as part of the efforts of Punjab Government to create a State level IT cadre to execute various projects such as Digital India, under National e-Governance program, to transform the state into digitally empowered society.

Disclosing this, Additional Chief Secretary, Governance Reforms and Public Grievances, Anirudh Tewari said that that the recruitment process of IT Cadre was initiated in September 2020 and applications were invited from aspiring and experienced technocrats to be a part of state IT Cadre to be hired on contract.

Pointing out further, the ACS said that these IT professionals will be made available in all the government departments to help them seamlessly share information with each other on a unified platform being developed by State Government. The Cadre will, in addition, help departments in the integration of various departmental services on digital platforms like mSewa, Digilocker, Sewa Kendras and GeM/e-Procurement, said Anirudh Tewari.Chandigarh, December 17:
