Temperatures are continuously falling in Punjab-Chandigarh. The maximum temperature of the state has dropped by 1.4 degrees in the last 24 hours. However, it has remained 2.1 degrees above normal.
On 8th February, western disturbance was seen in the form of an area of cyclonic winds in northern Iran and its surrounding areas.
It is now located in Jammu and Kashmir and its surrounding areas. Due to this, strong winds are blowing, this situation will remain for the next two days. However, the weather will remain dry from February 14th to 20th.
At the same time, there is a possibility of less than normal rainfall throughout the week. The temperature will be 20 to 22 degrees in the eastern and northern parts and 24 degrees in other parts.
After 16th February there are chances of rainfall in Punjab. As per the Apple weather app, the state may experience rain soon.
According to the Apple weather app, on 20th February, Thursday, cities across Punjab, including Amritsar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana East, are predicted to experience rainfall.
As per the Apple weather app, there is a 70% chance of precipitation in Jalandhar and Amritsar whereas there is a 65% of precipitation in Ludhiana East.
However, there is no major difference in the minimum temperature of Punjab. The temperature of all the districts has been recorded above six degrees.
Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur has recorded a temperature of 6.5 degrees. While Chandigarh recorded a temperature of 11.4 degrees and Mohali recorded a temperature of 11.6 degrees.
Additionally, 10.2 mm of rain has fallen in the state from 1st to 13th February. But this time the rainfall has been 95 percent less than normal. Only 0.5 mm of rain has been recorded.
