On 7th February, Friday, the temperature in Punjab is likely to remain the same as Thursday. There will not be much changes in the temperature. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the weather may change after a span of two days. However, no alerts are issued by the Meteorological Center today.
According to the Meteorological Center, the average maximum temperature in the state has increased by 0.2 degrees Celsius yesterday as compared to Wednesday.
However, it is close to the normal level in the state. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Ludhiana at 22.8 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature was 4.7 degrees in Fazilka.
No alert has been issued in Punjab till the next week. Apart from this, a new western disturbance is becoming active in Punjab from tomorrow, 8th February. But its effect will not be seen in Punjab. Its effect will be limited to the hilly areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and there are chances of rain and weather change as well.
In view of the changing weather across the country in the next few days, people have been advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
Due to this western disturbance, there may be light clouds in Punjab. Due to which there will not be much change in the weather in the coming two days, but after that the temperature of Punjab is expected to increase by 3 degrees within a week. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain dry in Punjab in the next one week.
Previously, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a warning of major changes in the weather across the country in the next few days. As per IMD, two western disturbances were going to get active on 1st February and 3rd February, that would affect the weather in over 20 states.
