With Holi 2025 approaching, Punjab has started to witness a rise in temperature in most of its districts and cities. Earlier, Punjab Weather made everyone confused with high daytime temperatures and low nighttime temperatures. However, the latest Punjab Weather Update outlines that the summer season is finally here, as the mercury has crossed 30°C in the state. Interestingly, amid the temperature rise, the weather department IMD Chandigarh has also predicted that multiple districts of Punjab will receive rainfall.
Punjab Weather Update: Temperature crosses 30°C mark
As per the IMD Chandigarh Weather Forecast dated March 9, 2025, Fazilka (FASC_Abohar) witnessed a maximum temperature of 30.6°C. The second-warmest region of Punjab on March 9 was Mohali. Mohali's daytime temperature, or maximum temperature, on March 9, was 29.4°C. On the other hand, Moga witnessed 13.9°C as a minimum temperature on March 10, 2025.
Punjab Rainfall Prediction
IMD Chandigarh also issued a weather warning. The weather department, in its warning, stated that Punjab will witness normal weather from March 9 to March 12. However, on March 13, rainfall is expected in multiple districts of Punjab. IMD highlighted that Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, and Pathankot are most likely to witness thunderstorms on March 13, 2025.
