Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is all hands on deck for the upcoming Jalandhar West bye-elections 2024. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann himself is actively involved in campaigning for the West candidate Mohinder Bhagat. Bhagwant Mann’s dedication to the victory could be seen in how he shifted to Jalandhar to be fully involved with the Jalandhar West bye-polls. But now in his absence at the Jalandhar house, CM Mann’s wife, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur has also stepped up to the task and is also actively taking part in the campaign to promote the party principles. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur has been individually listening to the grievances of the citizens at the camp office and gave orders for their solutions.
Her redressal of the problems of the citizens is immensely crucial to the success of AAP in the Jalandhar West bye-elections. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur has been individually hearing the complaints of the citizens at the Jalandhar camp office, establishing a deep connection with the people at the base level. Her invaluable work also serves to build a kinship with the female voters in the constituency. Her unwavering dedication towards her duties has brought the public closer to AAP, providing a significant boost to the party’s campaign.
This is not the first time that CM Mann's wife has taken over the work in his absence. The doctor also managed the election work during the bye-elections in Sangrur.
The CM and his wife have been fully dedicated to AAP’s campaign and are working hard to ensure AAP candidate Mohinder Bhagat’s victory in the bye-polls. The Chief Minister shifted to the Nanak Niwas in Deep Nagar, Jalandhar along with his wife and daughter to be better able to assist the party grievances. CM Mann will reportedly be renting the house until the 2027 Legislative Assembly elections.
Punjab CM Mann had announced shifting his base to Jalandhar to ensure that party wins this seat with historic margin, executing the strategy from a rented house. CM Mann will be staying at the house for two days minimum in a week and ensure victory of party.
The CM further said that even after elections the house in city will act as a CM camp office for the residents of Doaba and Majha region. He said that the residents of both regions can come to this camp office to finish their routine work. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he will be personally available to people at this house for effective and immediate redressal of grievances of people. In his absence at the house, his wife, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur has been competently handling the grievances of the citizens. On Wednesday, Dr. Gurpreet held a ‘Janta Darbar’ in the house to address the problems of the people and issuing relevant orders.
