A young man from Samana, Patiala, Punjab, was tragically shot dead in the United States. The victim, identified as Arman Singh, had completed his 12th grade studies in Patiala and had long been requesting his family to send him abroad. Following his wishes, the family eventually helped him move to the U.S., where he was killed in a shooting last night. The family is devastated by the news.
Arman Singh, a resident of Kutbanpur village in Samana, was passionate about living abroad since completing high school. His mother shared, with deep sorrow, that she had spoken to him the previous day, and he seemed fine. However, later that night, a relative from the U.S. called to inform them that Arman had been shot. The family recalls how determined he was to go overseas.
Arman was reportedly working as a truck driver in the U.S. and was due to leave for work in the morning. He was shot near his residence, though the motive behind the killing remains unknown. U.S. authorities have begun investigating the case.
The grieving family has appealed to the Indian government for assistance in bringing Arman’s body back to his village. They mentioned that he had been living in the U.S. for approximately one and a half years and had been staying with a relative.
