Pushpa 2: The Rule is a Telugu-language action-drama film. It is directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, in association with Sukumar Writings.
The blockbuster film stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Ajay.
It is the sequel to Pushpa: The Rise released in 2021 and also the second instalment of the Pushpa film series. The storyline of the movie revolves around Pushpa Raj, a coolie risen to the ranks of sandalwood smuggler, who begins to face tough opposition from enemies and especially SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS.
In this movie, Allu Arjun will reprise his role of Pushpa, a red sandalwood smuggler, while Rashmika plays Srivalli, his love interest. Besides them, Pushpa 2 will also feature Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Pratap Singh.
This superhit movie was released on 5th December 2024 worldwide. This movie set multiple box-office records. It grossed more than Rs 1,719.5 worldwide against a budget of Rs 400 to 500 crores. It emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of the year, second highest-grossing film in India, second highest-grossing Telugu film and third highest-grossing Indian film.
Notably, Pushpa 2's trailer has also broken records, becoming the fastest to reach 40 million views on YouTube and earning over 1.4 million likes.

As per Bizz Buzz, there are speculations about that this superhit movie might premiere on 30th January 2025 on Netflix. This date is considered following the film team’s announcement that Pushpa 2 would be made available on OTT 56 days after its theatrical release.
Prior to its theatrical release, Netflix and the makers had announced it with a poster on their Instagram handle. Along with the poster, the caption read, “Pushpa is about to come out of hiding and he's coming to RULE! #Pushpa2: The rule is coming soon on Netflix in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi as a post theatrical release!”
