After Punjab CM Amarinder Singh earlier in the week ruled out a possibility with Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday has called for a meeting of Delhi leaders to discuss the alliance possibilities with Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi. The ruling party in the Delhi Assembly has already announced six candidates out of seven for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.

AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal has been open about making an alliance with Congress but Congress hasn't been responsive off late. Kejriwal also opined that he was fed up of convincing Congress for an alliance and now AAP will say 'no' to an alliance and contest the elections by themselves.

It gets more interesting given that Aam Aadmi Party is the main opposition party in Punjab and the Punjab CM has denied any possibility of an alliance with AAP. If there is an alliance between two of the parties in Delhi, what impact is it going to have on the equation of Punjab politics is yet to be seen.

A senior leader of AAP on the condition of anonymity has told the sources that the possibility of an alliance with Congress cannot be ruled out. Also, the political pundits had termed the candidate announcement by AAP as a move to 'put pressure' on Congress.
