Veteran Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan came under the scanner of social media after his video went viral in which was seen badly thrashing his student with slippers. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan viral video sparked a massive outrage on social media with fans in both India and Pakistan slamming the singer for his bizarre act. In the viral Rahat Fateh Ali Khan video, the Pakistani singer was seen repeatedly hitting and slapping the man with a slipper and asking "Where is my bottle?". He later identified the man as his protege Naveed Hasnain. After Rahat Fateh Ali Khan beating video went viral on social media, Naveed shared his video and clarified that he had misplaced a bottle of 'dam kiya hua pani' or holy water.
Now, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has shared a clarification video in which he also apologised for his act. In his video, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said, "This is about a personal issue between an ustad and shagird. He's like my son. This is how the relationship is between a teacher and his disciple. If a disciple does something good, I shower him with my love. If he does something wrong, he will get punished."
On the other hand, Naveed in his video said, "He is like my father. He loves us immensely. Whoever is circulating this video is trying to defame my ustaad."
