Attacking the Modi government over the three farm laws, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that implementation of the laws will bring unemployment. While addressing a framer rally in Rajashtan’s Ajmer’s Rupangarh, Gandhi said that agriculture doesn't belong to any industrialists, but to 'Bharat Mata'.
“PM says he's giving options. Yes, he has given: hunger, unemployment and suicide. He wants to talk to farmers but they won't until laws are repealed,” he added.
Today only one person (an industrialist) controls 40% of India’s farming sector, said, Rahul. “40 per cent of the grains are in his godown. The second law will give control of 80-90 per cent grains to this person,” he added.
Adani Group has already clarified that it neither buys food grains from farmers nor the pricing of food grains are decided by the company. On its Twitter the firm said that it operates grains in kilos for Food Corporation of India (FCI), adding “The company has no role in deciding the volume of storage as well as pricing of grain as it is only a service/ infrastructure provider for the FCI.”
'No youth of India will get employment if farm laws are implemented'
Warning people that once the three farm bills are implemented, no youth in the country will get employment, the former Congress president said. PM Modi with these laws wants to hand over the farming sector to two of his close friends, he added.
The Congress party has been accused by the BJP led government of misleading the farmers and claimed that they are using farmers for their political profits.

While even after 11 rounds of meetings between the farmer unions and the Centre the deadlock remained the same. The farmers proposed tractor rally turned violent with many farmer leaders coming under scanner. The unions also organised a chakka jam that went peaceful, again restating that the protest will not end until the laws are repealed with Tikait giving the Centre an ultimatum till October 2.
Meanwhile, the Modi government stand firm in its views and asserted that the three new farm laws will help in doubling income of the farming community and the MSP will remain.
