New Delhi: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday prayed for safety and well being of residents of areas in Gujarat that are likely to be hit by cyclone 'VAYU'.
After Cycolne Faini, Cyclone Vayu, is all set to engulf the coastal parts of India. Vayu is a cyclonic storm, swiftly moving towards the north and is expected to hit the Gujarat coast between Porbandar and Mahuva with wind speed up to 120 kmph on June 13.
Cyclone Vayu is expected to have an impact on the Gujarat coast on Thursday. The deep depression is located off the Lakshadweep coast near Aminidivi and is expected to intensify within the next 24 hours.

In a post on social media, Rahul urged Congress workers in Gujarat to be ready to provide all possible relief in areas that are likely to be hit by the Cyclone.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted, ''Cyclone 'VAYU' is nearing the Gujarat coast. I appeal to all Congress workers to be ready to provide call possible help in areas falling under the Cyclone. I pray for safety and well being of residents of areas in Gujarat that are likely to be hit by cyclone 'VAYU'.
